Let’s dive in. What are affirmations? Affirmations are positive and powerful statements or words that inspire and motivate us. Affirmations are very powerful because they release you from fear, depression, anxiety and negativity.

1. It makes you feel better: It is okay to wake up unhappy/sad about your body shape or your skin breaks out. It is okay to wake up with low energy and motivation. What won’t be okay is when you let that decide your mood for the day. Reciting words of affirmation gives you some joy, peace and hope for the new day. It sets your mood right to face the day.
2. It changes your mindset: Affirmations are incredibly versatile and can help you change your mindset on a range of topics. Imagine as a child your friends always laugh at your head saying it was too big. Growing up and being exposed to an affirmation that says you are beautiful just the way you are. Reciting that will eventually change your mindset from the big-headed girl to being beautiful just the way you are.
3. It helps you break through strong resistance: Saying to yourself you can do something, but you are panicking or scared in your mind, the latter, is a sign of stronger resistance. This strong reaction is usually marked by the overwhelming negative feeling you can sometimes experience as you try to stay positive affirmations. You can chip away any strong resistance when you constantly repeat affirmations with passion and conviction. Positive affirmations actually work by reprogramming your thought patterns, changing the way you feel about certain circumstances, and replacing dysfunctional beliefs with a new set of inner truths.
4. It strengthens you: It helps you believe in the potential of an action you want to manifest. Affirmations constantly remind you of your desires. Words of affirmation constantly bring your mind to a state of self-consciousness in such a way that you do things that are more profitable to your life. You can recite positive words of affirmations anytime you feel weak and want to see a positive change in your life.
To end with, just like positive quotes, affirmations make us feel good in general. Using affirmations in your daily life can totally change the way you do things. You can use affirmations in times when you want to control negative feelings such as frustration, anger, depression or even when you feel stressed.
